I am running for re-election for Rockwall City Council – Place 5 because I genuinely care about the City of Rockwall and its citizens. In that regard I strive to be a selfless, servant leader. Rockwall is a great city in which to live, work, play and retire and I am committed to maintaining that way of life. I do not just merely speak these words - I put them into action. In the past I have served the citizens of Rockwall as a Planning & Zoning Commissioner, as City Councilmember from 2012 until I term limited out in 2018. I have also served as Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Rockwall. I currently serve as one of the City of Rockwall representatives to the Rockwall County Planning Consortium as well as one of the city council liaisons to the Rockwall Economic Development Corporation. In addition I serve on the Board of Directors of the Rockwall County Emergency Services Corporation. I also serve on the City of Rockwall Hotel/Motel Tax Subcommittee and the city council liaison for the Art Commission.

My dad taught me to always strive to leave things better than I found them. In that regard, I have been heavily involved in trying to make the construction industry, in which I work, a better and more productive field. I am a former board member and past president of the American Subcontractors Association (ASA) – North Texas Chapter, and I am also very active in, and a former board member of, the Texas Construction Association. I currently serve as a member of the ASA National Organization’s Task Force on Ethics in Construction.

On a personal note, my wife, Clarissa, and I were married in 1978, and along with our three children, Tiffany, Brett, and Elise, we moved to Rockwall in 1993. All three of our children are Rockwall High School graduates. We are blessed with one awesome daughter-in-law, two awesome sons-in-law, and nine awesome grandchildren. We are active members of Lakepointe Church. I am a very proud graduate of Texas A&M University. In my professional life, I am the Vice President of Potter Concrete, Ltd., a large turnkey concrete contractor.
